Come join our friends at BGE for an insightful discussion on the significance of sustainability for businesses. Explore the ways in which businesses can integrate sustainable practices into their operations and understand the underlying importance of doing so. Tune in to hear from a distinguished guest speaker  Amy Chandler, Manager of Strategic Initiatives and former business owner; and panel members featuring Jason Crosse, Manager of Execution and Photographer; Nick Fertig, Senior Project Manager and former restaurant brewery owner; and Elisha Urquhart, Senior Project Manager, Powering Communities Impact Leader, and Business Design Lead; and Aisha Sadiq - Associate Project Manager & Professional Beauty Artist.

Amy is a MBA graduate of Villanova University and a board member for Great and Small, a non-profit therapeutic riding center. As a multidisciplinary executive and strategic advisor, she connects strategy, operations, organizational effectiveness, human capital, and technology to generate business value. She has driven business and workforce transformation for 15+ years by aligning stakeholders, maximizing operational efficiencies, creating people-centric cultures, and leveraging technology. Focus areas include advancing visions, strategies, and growth through leadership and business acumen, inventive ideas and solutions, persuasive communication, collaboration, and sound decisions. Throughout Amy's career, she has developed a consultative approach and a deep expertise in problem solving strategies to deliver successful outcomes. She offers excellent executive communications and presentation skills. Colleagues have recognized her ability to navigate ambiguity and propel diverse teams and stakeholders forward by creating, iterating, and applying logical frameworks, structures, and goals that set a clear path forward and deliver results.

Jason graduated from Oakwood University, a HBUC located in Huntsville Alabama, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also holds a Masters in Project Management & Human Resource Management and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Jason began his career at BGE as a Staff Augmentation (Contractor) Business Analyst where he created Centrally Managed Reports to support a team of 10 Project Managers while becoming a subject matter expert in Asset Suite 8, Passport Hyperion and Excel.

As he progressed to a Manager of Execution following his Sr.Project Manager role, he executed Distribution Electric projects, worked on relocation work, a s managed the alignment of Baltimore City and BGE Capital Conduit Proactive Program to streamline jobs in planning & mitigate conduit/duct construction issues. Along with various complex projects, programs, and initiatives Jason has been very instrumental in the Projects & Contracts group. 

During his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, doing photography for events, videography, & training his puppy.

Elisha is first and foremost a Woman of God, Wife, & Momprenur born and raised in  Baltimore, MD. After interning at Dow Chemical Conpany in Louisiana and obtaining her Masters in Mechanical Engineering, she moved to Detroit to work for the auto industry as a Quality Engineer for Ford Motor Company. She then returned back home just a few years later to do some work in aerospace as an Operations Program Manager for Northrop Grumman.

Elisha is a vibrant and talented professional working in the agile environment and project management field. She is also a Certified 6-Sigma Black Belt specializing in other key areas such as STEM Development, Program Management, Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Continuous Improvement, & Scrum.

With such a positive nature and great social intellect, Elisha’s has always grapsed unique opportunities for advancing either her family life and/or career. She has gone from managing automotive claims to working multibillion dollar Defense contracts to exploring her entrepreneurial spirits in Los Angeles heavily influencing others hands-on to build their own businesses and brand. All the while, her personal interests have enabled her to spend quality time with her husband, two boys, baby girl, and dog.

Whether home or away, Elisha continues to have a servant heart and finds great pleasure in helping others, bettering themselves in pursuit of their goals and dreams. She leans above for guidance wisdom and education, where family, community, and her own village-minded support system are the means to all her success, which she hopes to pass the torch down to her legacy.

Nick started with BGE in May of 2023 as a Senior Project Manager after 14+ years of experience at Brandon Shores Power Plant​ where he held multiple roles as a Control Room Operator​, Power Plant Technician,​ and Planned Outage Coordinator. He also graduated from Talen’s Energy Leadership Academy and holds his PMP certification. 

Prior to the Power Plant, Nick also served in the Unites States Navy for 6 years out of High School, where he was an Engineering Laboratory Technician ​and graduated from the Naval Nuclear Power School with a focus in mechanical system theory and operation.

​Nick is married and a father of 3 boys (ages 5, 4 and 1). His favorite sport is baseball (Let’s go O’s!) but is also a Baltimore Ravens fan.

Fun fact - Nick founded and owned Full Tilt Brewing from 2012 until 2023. If you have any brewery and/or beer related questions, he is your man!

Aisha Sadiq - Associate Project Manager & Professional Beauty Artist 

Aisha began her career as an Associate Project Manager at BGE in January 2024. She derives from a significant amount of experience within the healthcare sector including HR coordination along with ER procedures within the Maryland Medical System. Aisha also has successfully managed her own business for over 9 years within the Beauty Industry as a Professional Makeup Artist.

Responsible for managing or supporting the management of project's scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance of multiple projects and programs.  Aisha manages electric distribution, gas, and/or information technology projects consisting of cross-functional teams that can involve multiple disciplines and multiple operating areas including contract resources. With sufficient experience within the healthcare field regarding Human Resource management, residency coordination and ER procedures, Aisha’s tenacity and growth within her field has made her a profound member of the workplace.

In her spare time Aisha loves traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys every moment with her beautiful daughter.
